GOLD FOSSICKING CONSENT PERMIT

Palmerville Station is committed to protecting this beautiful and ancient landscape, its unique cultural history and gold rush history and of course its unique ecology.

Apart from the environmental work our Western Yalanji Rangers do, we are constantly exploring and developing new areas of interest across our incredible property, ensuring our guests have an incredible time  discovering at Palmerville.

For all of these reasons, visitors need to purchase a gold fossicking consent permit which is included in the camping fee if they are staying with us.

This must be displayed at all times during your visit to Palmerville.

The funds from the permits are used to help support the Western Yalanji Ranger base and helps us create signage and information boards and, most importantly, protect Palmerville Station's unique and precious ecosystems.

The permits also go toward track and trail maintenance, weed and pest eradication, fire management and development of new tourism areas.

# All guest must  hold a Queensland State Government Gold Fossicking Licence. These licences are available online from $12.92 for a family pass for a month. 

Please provide your Fossicking Licence Number when booking or when you check in. 

Prices are included in Historic Hut Rates

Visitor permits are valid for the duration of their stay and include their camping fees. 

Please note that Gold Fossicking Consent Permits will be automatically added during the online booking process.
